Pablo Taba en Cinema Cafe

ntocadera

I didn’t have the time to write about last Tuesday, a magical night, where I was invited to play about 5 songs. Besides the rain, the concert was a big success attending more than 400 people, the place was packed and was other place at the same time due magic and excitement was all around. I must say my dear old friend Taba was amazingly inspired, and I thank him for let me remind my old roots. Rock ‘n Roll.

Back 16 years, we used to play in DR Rock arena. I just felt that part of my life come back that night. Alive.

Financial crisis…

This crisis may affect all US dependant economies, I will try to stay tuned to what’s going on.

President Bush explains big bailout as high-stakes debate heats up

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — President Bush used a prime-time TV address on Wednesday night to press his case for a $700 billion bailout of the nation’s shaky financial system.

Bush’s proposal – to allow the Treasury to buy troubled assets threatening the health of financial institutions – aims to restore confidence to the credit markets.

In the past week, short-term borrowing that businesses rely on to make payroll and cover other operating expenses has shown signs of freezing. Further problems in the credit markets could cause the U.S. economy to seize up – threatening Wall Street and Main Street alike with a loss of jobs and a severe economic downturn.

“We are in the midst of a serious financial crisis,” Bush said. “Our entire economy is in danger.”

Pursuing Happiness

Today surfing the web I found this Website with notable quotes by years, since 1999 to 2007. This one is very true.

“You don’t become happy by pursuing happiness. You become happy by
living a life that means something. The happiest people you know are
probably not the richest or most famous, probably not the ones who
work hardest at being happy by reading the articles and buying the
books and latching on to the latest fads. I suspect that the
happiest people you know are the ones who work at being kind, helpful,
and reliable, and happiness sneaks into their lives while they are
busy doing those things. You don’t become happy by pursuing happiness.
It is always a by-product, never a primary goal.”

Sarah Palin’s Emails Hacked And Published Online

sarah_palin Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s private email account has been hacked and a number of her emails and photos have been published online.

The-email account has since been shut down, but its contents which includes photos, contacts and snapshots of e-mail exchanges the Alaska governor had with colleagues.

Palin has come under fire for using private e-mail accounts to conduct state business, and that appears to have been validated with the posted contents of her Yahoo! account. Critics believe she was using the non-government email account to conduct state business and thus get around public records laws.

One of the e-mails apparently shows an exchange with Alaska Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell discussing a talk show host who had been critical of Parnell, but nothing terribly scandalous other than confirmation that Palin was in fact using a private email address to conduct state business so that no record would be kept — which is quite serious in itself.

US Crisis rebounds: Merryll Lynch and Lehman Brothers enter the fray

The Federal Reserve board announced on Sunday several initiatives to provide additional support to financial markets, including enhancements to its existing liquidity facilities.
On Monday, the news are affecting world stocks and all the financial markets are already reacting to the crisis.

OPEC draws a line in the sand at $100

OPEC surprised the oil market in the past week by announcing a cutback in oil production of roughly half a million barrels a day. Indirectly, OPEC made it clear that the cartel would not accept a price below $100/bbl. However, there has been a shift of sentiment in the oil market in recent months.
