SAMSUNG LAUNCHES THE GALAXY NEXUS WHITE

Samsung’s latest Android device coming to UK shores 13th February

6th February 2012, London, UK – Samsung has today confirmed the availability of a white variant of the Galaxy Nexus in the UK. The first smartphone to feature Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Galaxy Nexus White can be bought in a range of stores across the country from 13th February.

Simon Stanford, UK IRE Telecommunications Networks Division said: “After much speculation, we are pleased to announce the availability of the Galaxy Nexus White which follows the great reception the phone has received since it was launched back in November. One of the things we at Samsung pride ourselves on is the choice we offer customers, and we’ve enjoyed huge success to date by introducing white variants of our most popular models to our product portfolio.”

The Galaxy Nexus™ White offers customers all the features found in the original Galaxy Nexus, from the 4.65” HD Super AMOLED display which boasts a market-leading resolution of 720p (1280×720), to the 5 megapixel camera and super-fast 1.2GHz dual core processor and HSPA+ connectivity so owners can connect to and browse the internet quickly and easily when they’re out and about.

As the first smartphone to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Galaxy Nexus White offers customers an entirely new look and feel, including a redesigned user interface with improved multi-tasking, notifications, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC support and a full web browsing experience. In addition to a rounded slim design, the Galaxy Nexus White also introduces new innovations such as ‘Face Unlock’, which uses facial recognition to unlock the phone. Whilst integration with Google+™ means owners can easily stay in touch with friends and family and talk over Google+ Messenger.

If you thought Mango was the bee’s knees, just wait till you get a hold of Apollo. No, seriously, keep waiting ’cause we have no idea when that will happen. While we still can’t say when Windows Phone 8 will be making its way to a handset near you, we do have quite a few new details about the mobile OS courtesy of the folks over at PocketNow. The site managed to snag a copy of a video starring Windows Phone manager Joe Belfiore talking about what’s coming in the next major revision. Those of you concerned with Microsoft’s inability to go toe to toe with Apple and Google on specs can breathe a bit easier as new screen resolutions (four in total) and dual-core CPUs will be supported, while those clamoring for more storage will be happy to hear that microSD support has returned — this time in an official capacity. Rounding out the new hardware features will be NFC support, including the Beam-like ability to share content by tapping, though, it’ll have the advantage of being able to share with Windows 8 based tablets and laptops as well. And, speaking of Windows 8, its similarly numbered, phone-centric sibling won’t just share a UI, it’ll have many of the core components, including large chunks of the kernel, networking stack and security features — which should make porting apps from the desktop to the handset a relatively simple affair.

Amazingly enough, the list of improvements doesn’t end there. If you’ve been wondering when Microsoft was going to put its Skype acquisition to good use, wonder no more. A Windows Phone app for the VoIP service will debut alongside Apollo and will feature deep integration with the OS, including the ability to place calls the same as you would standard voice calls. A new live tile and app called DataSmart will make it easier for users to manage their data usage and ensure they don’t end up eating insane overage fees. To milk every last bit out of that data plan Windows Phone will favor WiFi over a cellular connection and can be programmed to automatically connect to carrier-owned hotspots when they’re in range. And, if that weren’t enough, Microsoft plans to use proxy servers to compress web pages before feeding them to the mobile version of Internet Explorer 10, not unlike Opera Mini. Those of you who doubted that Windows Phone could actually keep pace with Android and iOS, now might be a good time to reevaluate your position. Hit up the source link for a few more details.

EasySignMobile Brings Facebook Connect and Cloud Integration to eSignature App on iPhone and iPad

EasySignMobile.com, a pioneer in mobile e-signature experience for consumers and businesses, has introduced login via Facebook Connect, integration with popular cloud file sharing services like Dropbox Box.net, and localization in 6 languages with international character support.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 25, 2012

Striving to offer efficiency and simplicity, EasySignMobile is the first eSignature app on iOS to introduce user authentication via Facebook. “Facebook has become the primary identity of users on the web, making it their go-to choice for logging into popular websites and apps,” said Sunil Patro, Co-Founder of EasySignMobile. “Logging in through Facebook allows our users to import contact information automatically from the social network, making it convenient for filling future documents faster.”

Other major updates to the app have enabled EasySignMobile users with better accessibility to remote files. EasySignMobile is proud to introduce Dropbox and Box.net integration, allowing users to seamlessly import and save documents that are stored in the cloud.

EasySignMobile has a presence in more than 110 countries and is being used by consumers and businesses to sign and fill documents in their local languages. “Global adoption has been overwhelming and hence going a step further with international character support was a must in our roadmap.” said Sunil Patro. The most recent version v3.4.6 of EasySignMobile’s iOS App is currently available in 6 international languages including Spanish, French, Italian, German and Russian and supports international characters such as, and not limited to Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Hebrew and Arabic.

“We’re proud to be at the forefront of the mobile eSignature solution and look forward to reaching out to new users on other platforms.” concluded Patro. EasySignMobile released their Android v1.0 app in October 2011 and has plans to further expand into Windows Phone and Blackberry while further developing functionality for Android.
