New Job, new goals, new site! Here a screen shot of what is going to be my new website, based on Wordpress with a lot of customizations. I love Joomla and I’ve been using it since mambo early versions. I can say Joomla is very well suited for portals or even websites better than a Blog, Wordpress is a state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. What makes it the best suited for Bloggin'.

A couple of days ago I wrote a post on my telecommunications industry related Blog UltimateTelco.com about my new Job, people are asking me about why I'm employed again, well it was a lack of focus and too much brainstorming about business opportunities that at the end didn't work. I'm now committed to my new Job and my online websites monetizing their traffic ;)

Watching "Inside the Actors Studio", Martin Sheen's interview, at the end he recited a poem from Rabindranath Tagore called "Where The Mind is Without Fear" that says:
"Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake"
…from Rabindranath Tagore's Geetanjali
...something to think, Enjoy…

Well I'm proud of my friends, Wilser Ramirez he started building bass guitars in 2001 as a hobby in his garage. This bass guitars rock, the design, sound and craft is outstanding. I can say that's art in every way you look it, he is devoted to bass guitars and it's admirable, you can take a look at his website. Each bass guitar is customizable and can be built the way you want it... you can specify 4, 5 or 6 strings, wood (body, fingerboard), matching pickup covers, matching headstock, what preamp, what pickups hardware color, logo material inlay, bolton, setneck or neckthrough, neck profile, fingerboard profile, string spacing etc... What would happen if Al Qaeda became a nuclear power? Last Best Chance is a film about terrorism. Though 9/11 illustrated the horrific violence of terrorism, the absence of a follow-on attack in the United States has prompted a number of policymakers and politicians to beat the drum about the dangers of terrorism.
The interesting situation in the movie, is how this terrorists get the weapons inside US. As they say in their website "this film is based on facts, Some events depicted may have already happened, some may be happening now, all may happen in the near future if we don't act now to prevent them." scary...
Last Best Chance was produced with support from the Nuclear Threat Initiative, with additional funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
The film Last Best Chance is on HBO today May, 20 2007

The Earth is heating up. “As human-caused biodiversity loss and climate disruption gain ground, we need to keep our sights clear and understand that the measure of a threat is not a matter of whether it is made on purpose, but of how much loss it may cause. It's an ancient habit to go after those we perceive to be evil because they intended to do harm. It's harder, but more effective, to "go after," meaning to more effectively educate and socialize, those vastly larger numbers of our fellow humans who are not evil, but whose behavior may in fact be far more destructive in the long run." (Ed Ayres, editor of Worldwatch magazine, Nov/Dec 2001)
An increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, including sea level rise, and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. There may also be changes in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, though it is difficult to connect specific events to global warming. Other effects may include changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat, reduced summer streamflows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.

Wikipedia defines social networking as "A social network is a social structure made of nodes (which are generally individuals or organizations) that are tied by one or more specific types of relations, such as financial exchange, friends, kinship, dislike, trade, web links, sexual relations, disease transmission (epidemiology), or airline routes..." I just like it, in these communities, an initial set of founders sends out messages inviting members of their own personal networks to join the them. Here an interesting article from PC World.
