Paul Potts was a manager at a cell phone store – until he performed! Potts absolutely amazed judges with his rendition of ‘Nessun Dorma’ in his first performance.
Then went on to win the contest and the £100,000 prize. He will also begin recording for show creator Simon Cowell’s record label.
“I’m waiting for someone to pinch me and say: ‘Get out of bed. You’ve got to work. You’re late again.’”
