thanks

the motu midi mixer is an archaic piece of gear(it would be vintage if it was, well, good)

it's a 7 stereo inputs + 2 aux mixer
each channel has bas treble and pan + 2 half stereo fx send (that is, they choose to use 0-63 to send to fx1 and 64-127 to send to fx 2, and separated left and right sends on 2 controllers, which makes it a PITA to program

they also overlooked mutes/solo (they implemented it in one controller for all 7 channels, so every time you mute something for example, you need to send the "not muted" value to the 6 others, unusable.

mine has a fabrication tag of 1991 and a MIDI implementation of that year, but hey, for 40$, it was worth the 300$ BCF to control it, pus it will make me a synth rack mixer once i got my zero8

yes I do program my tx the hard way, that is on the machine itself, i'm not a great fm sound designer tho (i can make saw and dirty leads, but i would not be able to design a "real/natural" sound with it to save my life

Very versatile I like it very much and the price is fair enough. I was asking me the same question about the motu midi mixer you have.

Do you program your TX81Z?
